  The PS5 is home to many great games, including some huge exclusives. According to Metacritic, these are the best.

  

  The PS5 may still be in its first year, but it already boasts an impressive library of high-quality games for players to sink their teeth into. Launch titles such as Demon’s Souls, have been bolstered by releases such as co-op hit It Takes Two and Insomniac’s latest title Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

  Mortal Kombat has long been one of the best fighting games on offer, and its 11th mainline installment is no different. This version comes with two outstanding campaigns, and the 37 character roster means?you have lots of different types of fighters to use and master.

  The Japanese setting is brilliantly realized, and the combat system — which makes players utilize different types of sword stances against different enemies — ensures that combat is constantly challenging. There’s also a wealth of different weapons to use too, including swords, axes, bows, and rifles.

  Guilty Gear -Strive- presents a content-packed single-player mode, as well as an expansive multiplayer offering.   It rarely reuses the same ideas and offers a surprisingly well-put-together experience for such a seemingly light-hearted adventure. This is, in part, down to a fantastic script, which is as humorous as it is heartfelt. It Takes Two is a special game, and well worth experiencing in all its boundary-pushing glory.

  Devil May Cry 5 was already a great addition to the series, and this ultimate version adds a list of new features that further enhance the experience. Dante’s brother Vergil is a brand new playable character, and the new turbo mode?lets you to play through the game at a faster speed, making combat even more frantic.

  It’s one of the best hack and slash games of recent years, the story is great too, pitting players up against a demon invasion whilst searching for a mysterious figure from Dante’s past.   Disco Elysium?is a fantastic story-driven RPG, offering players an unprecedented level of choice in how they act, with each small action having significant repercussions on the game’s world. You’re put into the shoes of a detective who must piece together his own memory, as well as solving a murder mystery, all within a world ravaged by a war decades earlier.

  There’s no combat, with the focus instead being placed on careful decision-making and demanding?that you respond appropriately to events that take place within the world. As long as you’re prepared for a lot of reading, there are few better experiences on PlayStation 5 than Disco Elysium.

  Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is an example of a remake done right, with the classic skateboarding game being brought into modern times without losing any of the charm that made the original games so great. The PS5 version offers a few enhancements including a 120FPS mode, haptic feedback, and more general upgrades to visual and audio design.

  Gameplay is orientated around high scores and trick combos,?and you’ll need to execute complex skills in order to score more points.?You?also have the option to create your own skater, as well as a skate park of your own. There’s also an online multiplayer mode that pits?you against six other skaters and works in the same way as the single-player modes.

  Demon’s Souls is unfairly difficult at times, but it rewards players who are willing to take the time to improve and learn from each and every death they suffer. It isn’t for everyone, but anyone willing to not give up will experience one of the best experiences available not?just on PlayStation 5 but of the last few years of gaming.
